Products
To add a product in SONAR, open the Products menu, click Add Product, fill in the photo, name, price, and package size, then click Save Product. You can also add variants, strikethrough pricing, purchase limits, and categories. Takes about 3 minutes per product.
Before you start
- ✓Your SONAR account is active and you can access the dashboard.
- ✓Your store’s Landing Page is already built. If not, finish the Landing Page tutorial first.
- ✓Have product photos, price, weight, and package size ready.
Steps
Open the Products menu
In the SONAR dashboard, select Products from the sidebar. This page is where you view, add, and manage every product in your store.
Click Add Product and fill in the basics
Click Add Product, then upload a product photo, fill in the product name, and enter the selling price.
Fill in strikethrough pricing (optional)
To show a discount, fill in the strikethrough price with the price before the discount, for example Rp150,000. SONAR calculates and displays the discount automatically.
Tip
Strikethrough pricing is the old price shown crossed out in your store. Leave it blank if the product isn’t discounted.
Fill in weight and package size
Enter the product’s weight, length, width, and height. If size is filled in here, you don’t need to set a default package size in the Shipping menu.
Set product options
Turn on toggles as needed: Featured product to highlight it, Track Stock so stock is recorded in Inventory, and pre-order if the product is made to order. Fill in Purchase Limit if you want to cap quantity, for example 5 pcs per buyer.
Add product variants
Add a variant type, for example size XL, L, M. Then click Add Variant to build the variant list, and fill in the price for each, for example XL Rp50,000.
Save the product
Once everything looks correct, click Save Product. It appears in the Products list right away.
Manage categories
Click Manage Categories to build categories and subcategories, for example Face Care with Serum, Moisturizer, and Toner subcategories. Check the right categories for each product.
Done! Your product is now live in your store
Repeat steps 2 through 7 for your next product. If you turned on Track Stock, continue to the Inventory tutorial to log incoming stock.
